FPW Statement of Faith

As an interdenominational organization, Fellowship of Professional Women is committed to all the classical, historical and orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith which have been common to nearly all Christians at all times. These doctrines include belief in the Triune God -Father, Son and Holy Spirit; belief that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God; belief that humanity has fallen from its created state into sin and spiritual death and belief that Jesus Christ, as perfect Deity and true humanity, died for our sins as our substitute and rose bodily from the dead. We believe in the unique, divine inspiration and trustworthiness of the Bible; and that it is the basis of our beliefs and the final authority in all matters of which it speaks. We believe that spiritual life and forgiveness of sins is found through faith in Christ alone, not through our effort or goodness. We believe in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in spiritual birth and growth, and that every Christian is called by the power of the Holy Spirit, to live a life of love, fruitful service and witness of the Gospel. We believe in the church and the responsibility of each Christian to participate in the worship and ordinances of a church home where Christ is honored and God's word is preached. We believe in the physical return to earth of the Lord Jesus Christ,~ to judge the living and the dead and to consummate the eternal plan of God.
