Justice Nathan HechtJanuary 13, 2009—Justice Nathan Hecht Justice Nathan L. Hecht is the Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, having been elected in 1988 and re-elected in 1994, 2000, and 2006. Justice Hecht began his judicial service in 1981, when he was appointed to the 9th District court in Dallas County. He was elected to that bench in 1982 and re-elected in 1984. In 1986 he was elected to the Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas at Dallas, where he served until he was elected to the Supreme Court. Justice Hecht received a B.A. degree with honors in philosophy from Yale University in 1971. He received his J.D. degree cum laude in 1974 from Southern Methodist University. He is an elder of Cornerstone Christian Church in Dallas where he has taught Sunday School over 30 years.

Allison BottkeFebruary 10, 2009—Allison Bottke When Allison Bottke’s life changed, it wasn’t another bend in the journey, it was a brake-locking, tirescreaming u-turn. Allison’s story is one of triumph over tragedy. You may recognize Allison as one of the country’s first full-figure fashion models. Signed with the prestigious Wilhelmina Agency in the early 1980s, working with such designers as Gloria Vanderbilt, Levi-Strauss, Pendleton Knitwear, Teddy of California, her photographs appeared in print media internationally for years. Allison lost 120 pounds with Gastric Bypass Surgery, and wrote a book about it. An entertainment company optioned the rights to her life story for a made-for-television movie, and she appeared on numerous radio and TV programs including the 700 Club which is one of their highest rated programs. www.allisonbottke.com

Lisa Luby RyanMarch 10, 2009—Lisa Luby Ryan Lisa Luby Ryan is a talented interior designer, influential Dallas entrepreneur and enthusiastic community leader. As the proprietor of Vintage Living, a home furnishings boutique in Snider Plaza, Lisa’s design expertise has been recognized by her peers, who selected her as D Home magazine’s Best Designer from 2004 to 2008. Her home was featured on the cover of British Country Homes & Interiors magazine and in Traditional Home magazine. As a past president of Park Cities Republican Women, Lisa implemented several groundbreaking programs, including a children’s literacy project in the DISD and educational seminars on the importance of voting. Patti FosterApril 14, 2009—Patti Foster As a college student majoring in music education, Patti traveled with a fine arts team to Australia, toured with the university choir to the British Isles, provided music for crusades in Eastern Europe and spent a week in the heart of Mexico with a mission group. Since 1990, Patti’s focus has been radio, hosting a morning show in Indiana, before moving to a Christian music station in Tyler, Texas. On June 18, 2002, Patti was severely injured in a horrific auto accident, suffering severe head trauma and was comatose for six weeks. Her life hung in the balance. Linda BurnettMay 12, 2009—Linda Burnett With twenty-five years in corporate sales and management, Linda learned many things. At home, she was “Mom” to 6. After a divorce and long, bitter years following, Linda met and married her “perfect love” who was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 months later. Five short, but precious, years together battling cancer taught her how to relinquish control of her life. God, once again, proved He had plans for her life as He provided another wonderful turn for her life. Her claim to fame: She was the oldest person in her MBA class.
